The Great Pumpkin Patch

We went to The Great Pumpkin Patch in Arthur yesterday with our good friends, the White's. This is the second year we have done this and I'm sure we have started a tradition! The pumpkin patch is wonderful! A definite must-do this time of year :) We all had a great time!!

This picture cracks me up :) I wished I would've been able to get a picture of Drake looking through the holes the wrong way...it was way too cute!

The 4 amigos in front of a HUGE pumpkin! As you can see Parker was a little preoccupied during this picture. Dawn and I could not stop laughing about this. Since the pumpkin patch is located in Arthur..we saw numerous horse and buggies going by. Parker is telling us that he sees one while trying to smile for the picture at the same time...priceless!!!!

Monkeys, Elephants, and Seals..Oh My!!

A couple weeks ago we decided to head to the St. Louis Zoo. We decided to wait and tell Parker that morning that we were going. When we woke up we told him the news and boy was he excited :) It was such a nice day...the weather was perfect and it was not very crowded!

We tried to get Parker to sit by the boa constrictor but he passed...however, Drake is not old enough to be able to pass..haha!!

This is one of two pictures we tried to get of the boys together. Parker stood and posed for the picture while Drake insisted on taking off!

At the end of the trip we asked Parker what animals were his favorite...his response...monkeys, elephants, and seals. We had a wonderful time at the zoo...as usual!!

One year ago today...

One year ago today our second son, Drake, was born. I truly can't believe it has already been one year since he was born. Time sure flies by!! Drake is such a joy to be around! He is always smiling and laughing...and making the funniest facial expressions! God has truly blessed us with 2 wonderful boys!!

A little bit of everything....

This past Saturday night Adam and I had another date night (which usually doesn't happen that often). We were supposed to go out to dinner with another couple (a guy Adam works with & his wife)...however she ended up being on call. We already had a babysitter for the night (Nana & Papa)...so we took advantage of it and went to eat at Red Lobster!! It was Lobster Fest...which Adam loved :) Parker got to spend the night with Nana & Papa...where fun was had by all!

This morning as I was getting ready...Drake was in his playpen and Parker was watching cartoons. As I was drying my hair, Parker came to the bathroom and told me.."Mommy! Drake fell asleep in his playpen!". I came out to the living room and captured this picture....

This picture was from a couple weeks ago but I thought it was a cute picture....my little laundry helpers! They wanted a "ride" in the laundry basket after starting a load of towels :)

11 months old!

Today Drake is 11 months old! At this time last year I remember thinking there is no possible way I will go another month before having this baby...well I did! He is really close to walking all by himself. In the past week, he has started taking steps!! He also really loves getting into everything...as you can see from the picture. We have a cabinet in our hallway where we keep "all the extras". He loves getting in there and throwing everything onto the floor. The other night I caught him red-handed :)

Drake tends to be a Mommy's boy! If I am around and he sees me, he usually wants me. Adam took this picture the other night when I went into the bathroom to get ready for bed. Needless to say....Drake was a little upset....however it didn't last long because Daddy was right there to save the day :)

Unfortunately it was not the fishing he would like to have done......Last night Adam was giving the boys their baths while I was cleaning up the kitchen after supper (usual routine around here)...all of a sudden I heard "Brooke...get in here!!!".

When I went into the bathroom I saw it....Drake had pooped in the bathtub...YUCK!!! This was the first time it had ever happened to us...Parker never pooped in the bathtub!! Needless to say we were both grossed out!! Even though the poop came from your adorable son...it is still poop...and it is now floating in the water!! We got both boys out of tub as quick as we could....and here comes the fishing part...Adam went fishing for turds!!!! After Adam was done fishing...I disinfected the bathtub and the boys got to enjoy a second bath:)

Lucky for everybody reading this I did not take any pictures...and even if I did I would not post them...haha :)

Weekend Fun

This was a fun-filled weekend for the boys. On Friday night, they went to MiMi and Pappy's house while Adam and I went out to dinner. Parker got to spend the night all by himself...which he thought was pretty cool :)

On Saturday, Parker went to a birthday bowling party...he had such a good time!! The theme for the party was Thomas the train...as you can see from the picture :)

All of Sunday afternoon was spent....OUTSIDE!!! It was such a beautiful day and we took advantage of it!! Today was the first day for Drake to try out his new swing. As you can see from the picture he really liked it :) When he first started swinging he was so excited kicking his legs. As the swinging continued...he was getting more and more relaxed...as you can also tell from the picture :) He was about to fall asleep...but the neighbor was firing up the leaf blower which kept him awake! Needless to say there will be many more days spent in that swing.

Slumber Party

The past few nights Drake has been wanting to lay on the floor with the "big boys" and fall asleep. Before we got a carpet pad to go under the area rug, a pallet at our house would consist of about 8 blankets (I'm not kidding!). Now that the floor is more comfortable to lay on...all those blankets are not needed. Yipee!!...because I will give you one guess on who was folding up those 8 blankets every single morning!!! Anyways...like I was saying before...Drake has been falling asleep with Adam and Parker on the living room floor. So last night I told them to "pretend" they were sleeping and I would take a picture. I would have to give an Oscar to Daddy because he "looks" asleep.....however, I think the flash on the camera was a little too bright for Parker...haha!!!

I'm sorry everyone....it's been a few days since I have made a post. I'll try to do better...but not promising anything:) I thought I would get a pic of the boys together on the couch (which seems to be the place I always take one of them). They seem to always do well when I take them to a professional to get their picture taken, but for Mommy its a bit challenging!! When I get one to smile good, the other one is making a silly face. Guess which one is making a silly face!?!?! However, I think it is still a great picture of them!!

Drake is begging for me to pick him up....how can anyone refuse that adorable face :)

Yesterday Drake was 10 months old. It's crazy to think he will turn 1 in 2 months. It is going way too fast!! He is walking around anything and everything....and continuing to get into all of Parker's "stuff"....especially those precious trains:) Needless to say...there is never a dull moment around the Wolf house...especially when both boys are awake:)

Parker and "Dude"

On Sunday afternoon, Adam and Parker made a snowman. It was truly a "homemade" snowman. His eyes and mouth are frozen strawberries, his nose is a piece of sidewalk chalk, and his buttons are double-stuffed oreos!! Talk about a heavenly delight for the fellow squirrels on the block! After they were done making the snowman, I asked Parker what he wanted to name the snowman. His reply was "Dude!" Without further delay....please meet Parker's snowman, Dude!!

Hello blog world! I decided it is about time for me to start a blog! I figured it would be a great way to document our busy lives and to keep in touch with long distance family and friends.
